Welcome to Pablo's and Dexter's website!
If you haven't noticed we are in a really big drought and it is affecting a lot of people. The matter isn't getting improved by the matter of fracking. Fracking is a new way to get oil from the ground. They inject water with a lot of weird chemicals into the ground. The chemical water separates oil from the rocks in the ground. After they are finished with this process, they put the chemical water into our water supply.
During the worst drought in California’s recorded history, the last thing we should do is let fracking operations waste and endanger our water supplies. According to the U.S. Energy Administration, oil companies could drill as many as 25,000 fracking wells in our state—each one using nearly 10 times more water than a typical California family in one year.
Fracturing was first used in 1947 in a well in Kansas. Since then, hydraulic fracturing has become a regular practice to tap into previously unrecoverable reserves, or to stimulate increased production from existing oil or gas wells in the United States. In California, hydraulic fracturing has been used as a production stimulation method for more than 30 years with no reported damage to the environment.
